Enforcing balance in act of lunacy

Kategori: Allmänt

Hej svejs!

There’s a lot of confusion out there with the recent development. I’d like to take the opportunity to shed some light on this!

The Unguided
won’t be able to play Sonic Syndicate songs during our live gigs. Sonic Syndicate songs include everything found on: EF, OI (+ THE GILDED DAGGER), LAOD (+ FREEMAN) and WRTN (+BTC EP).

Here we go again...

Why? When Roland left Sonic Syndicate he got a very inconvenient contract—much like the one Satan himself is handing out to collect souls—from the management. Unfortunately, he signed this contract (not with blood however, thank goodness!) after thinking it was standard procedure (and so did the band as a matter of fact) and thereby signing away his rights to the songs, or any involvement with anything connected to Sonic Syndicate at all.

This means the contract itself hinders him to perform any Sonic Syndicate related material. Any violation of the terms in the contract could result in a lawsuit if any Sonic Syndicate members (Karin, John, Roger, Roland, Robin, and myself) choose to process against him that is. Keep in mind those are the ONLY people that can process.

Since we wouldn’t have enough finished material for our first live appearance with The Unguided, we figured it would be convenient to lean back on some old Sonic Syndicate material, seeing those are the songs me and my brother wrote 100% anyway. Plus the carefully selected songs would never be played in the current Sonic Syndicate ever again (To state the obvious; It’s hardly My Own Life or Turn it Up that we would be looking to play, if that’s what people thought.) Another bearing variable was that it would be a huge album spoiler to finalize and play too much material from it, pre-release. So, we found a way around the conditions by writing a counter contract. Thus providing Roland with a license to perform the songs. All we needed would be signatures from everyone present at the time the contract was established.  So far so good, right?

Eden Fire

Only Inhuman

Love and Other Disasters

It’s clearly written in the booklets of EF, OI and LAOD that I and my brother wrote the songs 100%

Karin and John signed this contract instantly, and obviously everyone in The Unguided did so too. Someone failed to comply, however. In fact, it comes as no surprise at all to anyone that my very own cousin, Robin, would never sign such contract, even though an inoffensive truce was established between both camps (Sonic Syndicate and The Unguided) in the last few months. With a motivation consisting of solely ill will, he considers it a matter of principle to not sign this contract, and thereby eliminating our chances to deliver Sonic Syndicate songs at live shows.

So, these are the rules we have to align ourselves with. To play Sonic Syndicate songs during The Unguided gigs would have been a temporary solution until we established enough of our own material anyway, and nothing else. And as said; we would solely be looking to play older songs, the songs which Robin himself wouldn’t even touch with a pair of pliers (even less contributed to write.)

I know this comes as a disappointment to a lot of you who were looking forward to hearing Sonic Syndicate songs with the original singer setup but it’s totally out of our hands. Until we get that last signature there’s really nothing we can do. We in The Unguided don’t see this hindrance as a major obstacle, however. We see it as a great challenge since we immediately have to banish ourselves to the writing board, finish up, and rehearse a lot of new material. Keep in mind, we’re NOT Sonic Syndicate we’re The Unguided with all the properties that comes of that. Thus The Unguided’s upcoming live appearances will consist of entirely our own material.

FAQ regarding this matter:
Further questions to:

Q: If you want to play Sonic Syndicate songs why did you quit the band in the first place?
A: As stated above and before, it was a temporary solution. Besides the songs we intended to play would never be played in the “new Sonic Syndicate” anyway. So the fans ONLY chance to hear the material at all with the songs proper vocalist duo would be through The Unguided. Both Robin and the management pushed for pre-WRTN records to disappear. For example; “Eden Fire have to die” was a direct quote from the management. This escalated surprisingly fast as well. Towards the end of my time in the band, even songs from OI and LOAD were too “metal” to be played live according to them.

Q: What about Fallen Angels material featured on Eden Fire?
A: The only Fallen Angels material we would be able to play without a contract breach would be the “Fall From Heaven” demo. “Black Lotus” and “Extinction” both appear on “Eden Fire;” so they count as Sonic Syndicate songs.

Q: Which songs did you intend plan to play from Eden Fire?
A: What we had in mind was Jailbreak, Soulstone Splinter, Prelude to Extinction and possible Crowned in Despair.

Q: Did Nathan sign Roland’s license but not Robin?
A: He didn’t have to. He had nothing to do with the rights to the songs we are looking to play. This has little to do with the current Sonic Syndicate at all, as a matter of fact. This should not affect them negatively at all. It’s Robin personally that should be held responsible.

Q: Will Roger stay in Sonic Syndicate after this event and when the summer tour is done?
A:  I don’t know. He has a good relation with John but he doesn’t even communicate with Robin anymore. If Robin starts to cooperate there’s still hope I guess but it seems like a long shot at the moment.  Roger helped him so much with all sort of things during all the years. With like; gear reparation, contract details and money (he even built bigger parts of his guitar pedal board) and this is how he gets repaid? Luckily for Robin my brother is more forgiving than I ever was. Worth mentioning is that Roger has nothing against Karin or Nathan either.

Q: Family feud?
A: Yes, it’s a vendetta among my brother, Robin, and me. It has been raging on for years, and has “finally” reached its peak. For example, after the release of Only Inhuman, Roger and I looked to release a limited edition “Eden Fire” pack (Since the budget was weak on the initial release) with a proper booklet of lyrics, photos from the era, and the demo versions of the songs included on the album, among other goodies, who exactly do you think put a stop to it? Management and we even negotiated this and his argument against it was that Robin would never support it.  Who do you think was the biggest factor why Sonic Syndicate never played much Eden Fire material throughout the years at all? That’s correct, my dear cousin Robin. I’ve tried to be diplomatic on many occasions, but my patience with him is long gone. There is no such thing as extenuating circumstances anymore. He will regret this, and be very certain I’ll see to that myself.

Q: Is the new The Unguided material better than Sonic Syndicate?
A: Yes, by a landslide ;)

Robin Sjunnesson was merely a setback!

Dobrý den!

The faithful day has arrived! 20110616 is upon us, and so is the digital single release of THE UNGUIDED – BETRAYER OF THE CODE at iTunes. Further information and anecdotes regarding the song can be found at Be sure to show your favorite band your most spectacular support and purchase the exclusive "betrayer package", including a new t-shirt and signed poster. Make us proud! Also, help us by sharing the site on Facebook, and be sure to share your thoughts with other unguided fans at the official fan page:

First full artwork by J.A.Aranguren since Eden Fire 2005

I saw some of your were trying to figure out the lyrics on the teaser. You were doing quite a good job with it, but I’ll help you out further:

God damned us

My voice uncovers, reveals your hidden secrets
My songs, they spellbind and brainwash feeble minds
On and on I traveled lonesome roads
In the savage garden of our world
But what am I, where do I come from?
Little did I ever know…

This is the end of everything
(the end of everything)
This is the end of all you know
(this is the end of all you know)

Dream after dream portrayed twins in terror
Their emerald eyes and flaming hair
One of them was blind
The other walked forever silenced
My queen forever I’ll be a slave to you
We’ll never be dead to the world again

Bane of the fallen king, victim of her change of heart
Burning fledglings everywhere and the end of men’s brutality
Blood tears they cry
As they combust in flames
She must be kept
Even though it was all her doing
Enforcing balance in act of lunacy
Now she stands with me (She stands with me)
Empower me with your blood

“Be my angels in a new world order”
The divine offer we declined
A primal force of vengeance; The Queen's Fall
And the speechless one saved us all
She fed on the mind and heart of the damned

"My queen forever I’ll be a slave to you"

So, what does this random release of another full song mean? Well, the most interesting part of it is probably the obvious fact that THE UNGUIDED album recording has started but remained unannounced up to now. Here are a few pictures of the previous studio session and the recording of Betrayer of the Code:

Faithful Darkness will enter The Abyss studio in less than a week to record the drums for the upcoming album Black Mirror’s Reflection with Jonas Kjellgren. We have seen the first rough draft of the cover artwork made by the Australian artist Simon Ward and it looks tasty! It gives off the same atmosphere as the debut album, In Shadows lies Utopia, did in the past. He’s working on a new website and merchandise for the band as well. We also just recently had a photo session outside the rehearsal room in Höganäs – Sweden. Here are some preview pictures of that:

Faithful Darkness will also be featured on this year’s Helsingborgsfestivalenby the end of this month (29/7) in Helsingborg - Sweden. We’ll enter the stage at 23.30 on the “Trumstock” stage. If you are going to attend, check out the Facebook event here for more information.

I recently got tagged in this very stunning picture made by Mavelin Alves. Some crazy skills there! Be sure to check her deviantART page here for more art and also pictures of Roger & Roland as well.

I also bought more toys from Japan. Illidan was feeling a little bit lonely, so I decided to put him against Arthas to see how that would play out.

Other than that, there’s not much to word about. I’m spending time in Falkenberg, and had a brief visit in Stockholm the other week. But I’ve mostly been stationary in Falkenberg, where I’m enjoying Swedish summer. Right now, however, I’m currently on antibiotics, which apparently makes me sensitive to light. Because of this, I’m sorely doing nocturnal deeds, which suites me just fine...

Send your questions to:

Q: Has it been decided yet if you guys will record your Getaway festival performance yet or is it still in talks?
There hasn’t been any professional arrangements for this yet, and time is running out. So, I doubt it will happen. But you never know!

Q: If by any chance is there a website where you get your police accessories from if there is I would like to know please.
I usually don’t buy them over the internet, so I don’t know. From what I remember, I bought maybe one Police necklace at That’s it. But I noticed you can purchase them at their official website here.

Police accessories

Q: Starcraft?
Yes, I was extremely into the original Starcraft by the end of the ‘90s. It’s probably the game I’ve spent most time online at ever, save for World of Warcraft, and maybe Quake and Quake II. I preferred Zerg back then. Also, when Roger and I were living at our parents’ house we played Starcraft all the time basically, with a shitty 56,6 dial-up modem. And every time someone had to make a phone call it disconnected internet, which lead to us going berserk in the house. I’ve merely started the campaign in Stracraft II however, but once I get some time I’ll try it out more. Roger is utterly lost in space on it.

Q: When will we see the first music video? :)
That’s not determined at this point, unfortunately.

Q: Will The Unguided come Hungary in the future?:D
I’ve answered your question in this blog.

I saw that you are an Iced Earth fan and I wanted to know: How much do you like Iced Earth? And also what's your favourite Iced Earth album (lyric and music wise)? That would be all for now :) Thanks!
Iced Earth is one of my favorite bands actually. I’ve followed them since Something Wicked This Way Comes, and I have their complete discography in my collection. I’ve both met Matt Barlow and Jon Schaffer during various occasions, one being Qubec – Canada when we opened for Nightwish (Iced Earth was direct support.) I’ve exchanged some words with Tim 'Ripper' Owens as well, during my touring years. Wacken 2007 I bumped into him if my memory serves. I was fairly disappointed with the The Crucible of Man, and I must admit The Glorious Burden and Framing Armageddon came out stronger in my book, even though I prefer Barlow’s vocals.  My favorite albums are Something Wicked This Way comes and Horror Show. But Burnt Offerings and The Dark Saga are not far behind. Lyric wise I would say Something Wicked This Way Comes, mostly because of my deep love for the "Something Wicked" trilogy. But Horror Show has some really great moments as well. Damien and Dracula is beast for example! It will be interesting to see what Stu Block can archive behind the mic on upcoming albums.

Iced Earth

Q: I love all the Fallen Angels songs and most of Sonic Syndicate (first 3 albums). I want to ask you, why did you change from those epic true melodic death metal vocals from Fallen Angels to this more metalcore-kind vocals? I really prefer your old vocal. Any thoughts of changing to that kind of vocals in the future?
This was addressed in this blogs Q&A.

Q: How long is your armpit-hair?
About as long as your hippie mom’s.

Your hippie mom

Q: Which laxative do you like most?

Q: Are you still a virgin?
Of course, I save myself for marriage.

Q: Why does it seem that you are on vacation or drinking-trips all the time rather than working on the goddamn album?
To work on the album we need studio time. Studio time costs money. Do the math! Support the band by purchasing our shirt and CD. Buy the songs digitally or even better, both! It will speed up the process. The more we can earn to invest into the album, the sooner you’ll have it. Until then, I’ll have a drinking trip vacation ;) Show us what you got on “Betrayer of the code” will yah?

Q: Since you have a Volvo S40, which is exactly the same as mine (Mitsubishi Carisma) except for the looks (developed and produced together in Netherlands): Do you still have the standard sound-system in it? If not, what did you change? If so, do you like the sound of it? ^^ I still have the standard one in it and I quite like the sound for Metal and Rock… \m/
Yeah I have the standard sound-system, and I kind of like it.

Q: How do you survive the baaaaaadly smelling taco-farts?? More importantly, how does your girlfriend??
If I fart, it smells peach. No one ever died from peach. She’ll live.

Smells good

Q: I've had about five of my questions published on your blog. Is it that I ask good questions, or you're not as popular as we all thought? (Totally joking. Fuck yeah Unguided \m/ )
Don’t flatter yourself.Every question sent to gets published in the blog. I try to answer everything that you guys send in--as you can see by the batch of moronic-time-wasting questions here above. Instead of answering directly by mail, it’s more effective for me to sit down and answer them all when I do have time and publish them altogether. It also serves the purpose to eliminate getting too many repetitive questions from wondering minds, as they already can gather a lot of answers from this “database.” So don’t you dare feel special ;) hehe. And no, I’m not popular. I have 2k friends on Facebook, James Hetfield has 99k! I’m WAY behind.

Q: First off, Jack of Diamonds. Random fans on the video or friends of yours? Details how you could get there and where it was shot and stuff like that?
Friends and family of the band were featured in the JoD video. It was mostly filmed outside Varberg. More precisely; Annebergsbanan, a racing track just outside Varberg. You can find the location here. The rest was shot at the Revolver Film Company studio in Gothenburg or at other locations in Gothenburg.

Jack of Diamonds
Q: Any album title known yet? Ideas? How about the Cover Art of the debut album?
Album title is decided upon, and album artwork is already done. Both, however, are extremely classified information.

Q: You mentioned Roland was the second choice to join SS. Who was the first one who didn't answer?
There was never a second choice of singer to join SS. There was, however, someone originally in mind to do the clean vocals for Eden Fire. This particular guy was Patrick Stenborg. Now he’s the singer of the Falkenberg based band, A Silent Escape.

Patrick Stenborg

Q: I see some improvement with technical guitarring since Roland came in. Awesome job overall.. Drums?
Roland is doing all the solos, and Roger is doing all rhythm and leads on the recordings. I also think Jonas Kjellgren did some minor parts as well. I guess it’s a combination of technical solos and that’s there’s actually space for these kind of things in The Unguided, which makes it resonate more in the way you describe it. This was certainly not the formula we had in our previous constellation. Jet Lee is still doing the drums with a little help of John.

Q: After the Jewelcase version of Nightmareland was released I decided to order this one too.. Don’t know why.. Maybe to support you? well, there came this picture within that said "Justice" and there was a riding knight.
What was the deal with that?
This sounded very odd to start off with but when I saw the picture you attached I understand what the dealio was, hehe. I guess Despotz have a surplus of stickers in their stock, so you got a little gift.

Q: The chorus of Enhance my Nightmare is magically beautiful. And I’m curious what inspired you to write that/the song. I’m one of them that like lyrics and I must say the lyrics to Eden Fire are phenomenal! I remember when I heard the album first time and it houses a very, very special place in me, much thanks to the lyrics!

A: Ah, the constant topical “Blue Eyed Fiend” again! I never seem to get away do I? The first three songs of Eden Fire revolve around the same topic. Enhance my Nightmare, in particular, handles unfaithful drama. In this case a mutual deceit. The lyrics treat how the sensible decision of staying away from each other is sometimes harder than originally expected.

Another question. I don't know if someone asked this (to fucking lazy to look through all your blogs) but any chance for a surprise appearance from both you and Roland at a SS concert?
If you are too lazy to look through the blogs, I’m too lazy to answer your question. At least for myself I’ve answered this before. Regarding Roland you’ll have to ask him

Breaking news! The Unguided live crusade this summer will not end with the premiere appearance on Getaway Rock Festival. No, no! We’ll unleash this force yet again, and this time we’ve made it extremely convenient for ourselves. As a matter of fact, I’ll be able to crawl from my own doorstep to the stage; this insanity will namely take place under the scorching sun of our very own hometown! On the 26th of July the toll bridge of Falkenberg will burn in unguided flames during the annual Grand Rock event. This will be an exclusive summer gig on the west coast, and the second ever live appearance from the band. Get your tickets today, and bring us everyone!

Join the event on facebook here.

Falkenberg in unguided flames

Not to be forgotten is the swiftly incoming Getaway Rock Festival. We are loading the live gun with as much madness we can possibly fit in the chambers. We are itching to hit the stage and flex our new artillery of mass destruction in front of the riff-raff.

Weapon of mass destruction

A very mysterious website has emerged on this link,, I’d suggest people to keep this site under strict surveillance. Remember, remember, the Sixteenth of June, blood tears, treason and plot. I see no reason why blood tears, treason, should ever be forgotten...

My beloved and I are now way past the PONR after successfully flying over the half year’s mark on the 2nd of June. We celebrated this with wine and tacos on the balcony! We are in for a most magical summer on the west coast, where we will spend a major percent of time on the beach, working on our tan. And the rest on the apartment balcony being slaves to Bag in Box wine.

Oh, by the way, I got this very interesting mail the other day:

Dear Bnaanmnp Ha3apob, 24th of March I was working my afternoon shift as an electrician in Falkenberg, Sweden that’s almost 3000km away from Saratov in Russia. You must have mistaken me for someone else.

People never cease to amaze me…

Send your questions to:
Q: Are you laughing at this old answer and this new answer on your blog?:
"Yes, I like screaming females, but I dislike female clean singing very much. Well, there are a few exceptions, of course. The gritty voice of a man appeals more to me. Now that sounded mighty gay but it’s the truth."
"Q: The Unguided go to Spain?
A: That seems like an awfully long walk, don’t you think?"
I always laugh at my own jokes. Always.

Q: Old blog Q&A:
"Q: When can we see you on tour?
A: When the planets align!"
New blog: "Next month the planets will align for a secret unguided event. I advise you to unsheathe your favorite Sharpie marker, and make a huge red crosshair around the date 20110616!" Hmm...
The plot thickens! To explain this mess, it could be different planets aligning for different events. It necessarily doesn’t even have to be the same galaxies! Let’s say there’s one batch of planets in the milky way that are supposed to align for the touring to commence and another accumulation of planets aligned in Messier 31 for the top secret event at 20110616 to be triggered. Food for thought!

Q: I think you speak English brilliantly for a non-native English speaker, but I've seen you use the word "literary" where "literally" should have been used. Do you still make that mistake?
Well, I entirely can’t take the credit for that mistake myself even If I wanted to, since I write everything in Swedish and just Google translate it. So, LITERARY, it’s that is the cause of this hideous error of errors.

Q: What's your ringtone?
A: “Marimba” from iPhone standard ringtones. I seldom have the sound on my phone activated though, so I get plenty surprised every time it rings. Those few occasions when I mistakenly have flipped the sound switch on, I mean. If this happens I usually stare angrily, basilisk like at the closest person and insist that they should leave their cell phone sound off to not stir today’s vibrate-based society. I’m more of a vibrator kind of guy if you know what I’m saying.

Q: Did you ever call yourself Richard "Jesus" Sjunnessoonn again? :P
A: In all Faithful Darkness related contexts yes.

Q: You once annotated a blog picture "Your soul's going to burn in the lake of fire". (I'm reading old blogs I never read.) Was that a draft lyric for Green Eyed Semon?
More like Iron Maiden - Can I play with Madness you fucking spastic.

Can I play with Madness

Q: I was just curious as to the English pronunciation of Sjunnesson?  I have been wondering for awhile how to pronounce your name and I'd hate to be butchering it! :P

Q: I was looking on the internet to find out some kind of the black bracelet you use on this picture at right hand. But I cant seem to find it. Not even in the police store : / would be nice if you could give me the name of it :).
That’s actually some H&M crap I bought on tour. I wouldn’t want to sweat down my precious Police accessories!

H&M crap

Q: I’m wondering if you are going to play Grand Rock in Falkenberg this summer?
That’s right. More info about this can be read in the blog.

You Only Eat Tacos? In your twitter only read tacos, taco, taco, blog, taco, taco, beach, taco, WoW,taco, Rioja, more tacos ... etc
ONLY eating tacos is taking it a bit far. But yes, I’m currently having a taco based diet. I’m not eating it that much though, just seven days a week.

Taco, taco

Q: I don't think you've answered this before, but anyway, why exactly do you hate Turn It Up so much? For me personally, I don't exactly like the song, but I don't think it's the worst song on the album. That dishonour goes to Miles Apart.
The deadly combination of a few fundamental factors in the song is where my deep seeded hatred originally emerged out from. First and foremost; the tune reeks of bad musical composing. The structure and simplicity of the song could have been written (better) by a forth grader. The horrid brain-dead lyrics are awful, and on top of that, it is sprinkled with the lamest and most annoying chorus melody ever written (Recycled My Own Life chorus anyone? Didn’t really help that the two songs appeared back to back in the running order of the album either). Hope that answers your question. Don’t get me wrong, I do respect the people that like the song! I just think they are… pardon my French; FUCKING RETARDED! ;) As far as Miles Apart goes, I loved the pre-production of it, I don’t like how it was tortured and twisted beyond recognition in the studio, which makes out the sorry excuse of a song that’s on the album today. Lake of Fire > Miles Apart.

Q: What are your views on homosexuality (the state of being homosexual) and homosexual marriages (whether or not you'll allow them when you become world leader).
I think Freddie Mercury was a great man.

Q: You play WoW but have you ever played Warcraft (Warcraft 1: Orcs & Humans, Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness, Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne). And have you ever played/heard of Defence of the Ancients (DotA).
I bought Tides of Darkness when it hit the market and was a huge fan of it. Both the game and lore won me over instantly, I was previously a big fan of Westwood Studios; Dune II: Battle for Arrakis but Blizzard totally opened up a new dimension to real-time strategy games with Warcraft II. I remember we had to upgrade our family PC (486-processor, 33MHz, 4mb ram) to be able to even run it hehe. I discovered Orcs & Humans after I fell in love with the sequel and had my fair share of that as well. And of course I was a huge enthusiast of Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne. I never played DotA however.

Dune II

Q: Learn to play guitar man!!! I'll teach you! I'll also like to teach the lovely Ella. To play guitar.
If you care for your life, I suggest you not to teach her anything at all. I’m extremely jealous, and last thing we need is another dead body showing up in the alley. Once the hulk is out, there’s little you can do to contain him ;)

Q: Can your girlfriend English speak? If yes, she good as I or you?
*Turning green*

Hulk out

Q: Tell me all the bands/songs that you did guest vocals for. I only know "Snowstorm" (<--- epic).
So far Snowstorm by Hollowcall is the only one released to the public. But there’s stuff for other productions coming eventually. I’ll announce it in the blog once it’s public.

Q: Horses have four legs, not five. Richie, I am disappointed.
Oh yes of course, silly me. I’ve must have been thinking of a Zebra.

Eight legs

Q: I have to admit u guys looked pretty awesome in the pics of your first photo shoot and i was wondering I you could tell me what you're wearing in the pic you title "I don't deal with psychos. I put 'em away."
I’m wearing a Sullen t-shirt called “Mother Roses”, Oakly “Plaintiff” shades, Police “Megalodon” necklace and a fake “leather” plastic jacket from Jack & Jones, which I don’t know the name of.

Q: I was reading your blog the other day and I saw that you're also playing WoW and I was wondering if you wanted to give me your e-mail so I can add you on WoW xD
The mail can be found in this blog. But be advised, I don’t add people I don’t know, well on realID.

Q: I was listening to Pain's new album and I noticed the song leave me alone is on the album!
Its lyrics are partially same as in the original from Sonic Syndicate. The music itself is very recognizable too. I was like I know this song just after I heard the intro! I'm interested to know how did it end up in Pain's album?
Peter Tägtren wrote the song originally. A little gift to the band from the legend himself, you could say. We tweaked it and reworked some of the lyrics to fit us better, and that’s the version you find on We Rule the Night. I’m not fully updated on what happened next, since it’s after I left the band but apparently he wanted to use it for his album too. His version is slightly different as well, so no one minded it much I assume. After all it’s his song; he should be allowed to do what he wants with it.

Q: Sweden is a silver medallist in hockey. My congratulations!!! I know that you are kind of god and "plans are for people" haha but... What are your plans for summer?
Sports in any form or shape sucks donkey genitals. But hey, thanks! ;) My summer will consist of my girlfriend and I spending time on the west coast trying to practice alcoholism on the beach and working our tan up! During the evenings we’ll BBQ tacos on the balcony and well… still practice alcoholism. Midsummer we’ll celebrate in Stockholm at her parents place and the absolute peak of the summer will be our trip to Finland and Tuska Open Air Festival to see Blind Guardian.

"...Forever I'll be a slave to you"

Q: Why are you such harsh to Sonic Syndicate? Sonic Syndicate: Especially your lyrics, music, you guys were inspiration of my life...really!!! Please, even if you are kind and don't show that to us. I must be idiot to demand this from you but it's kind of uncomfortable :( Forget last 2 awful years with SS....and remember first 4 years.
“Please, even if you are harsh…be kind” Perfect logic right there, sir! I’m not harsh; I’m voicing my opinion and utilizing the freedom of speech. If you don’t like the line of talk in this blog, don’t read it. It’s simple as that! Maybe this is more cuddly and to your liking? Anyways, I don’t intend to be harsh towards anyone at all. I might be a bit of a dick, with a big sense of malicious delight, yes. But in the end I’m just trying to answer questions given to me in an honest manner. Sometimes, believe it or not, the reality of things is harsh. What goes around certainly comes around in most cases. I’m not exactly planning on going to heaven either; I’m simply just trying to open people’s eyes to the truth.

Q: I just LOVE all the bonus track of Sonic (except Perfect Alibi).....I even prefer some bonus tracks than usual songs out from album. The most favourite songs are Freelancer & Ruin. Which bonus tracks do you love most?
You’re not the only one. There are quite a majority of people who prefer the bonus tracks to the album tracks, as a matter of fact. My favourites would be; Mission: Undertaker, Dead Planet and Heart of Eve.

Q: But what I wanted to know .. who drawed the big portrait [in your living room] and do you have drawings painted by yourself? :) Drawing is my passion and I always want to upgrade my horizon :) !
Your first questions were addressed in this blog and here’s some doodling by me. I’d love to spend more time drawing and I really want to improve in it, but it’s something I can’t find time clearance to do right now.

Q: Do you hate all sonic syndicate songs now? If not, is there any that you like from WRTN?
Why in hell would I hate a majority of songs, which were written by my brother and me? Far from it! There’s some stuff I have a hard time with on Love and other Disasters, and I despise the majority of We Rule the Night. But everything else I still enjoy. In the FAQ of this blog I addressed which songs I liked/disliked on WRTN.

Q: Why 616?
This was addressed in the FAQ of this blog.

Q: My girlfriend and I were thinking about going to Falkenberg the 26th of July to watch your gig. We we’re curious to know if there’s any chance to wish for a song in your setlist? If it’s not to much to ask for could you play My Escape? We got in touch thanks to that song, thanks to you.. it would mean everything to us!
That’s all cute and stuff BUT I could guarantee you that Sonic Syndicate ballads are probably the last thing you’ll hear on a The Unguided gig. I’m sorry, but I could answer this already at this point and it’s not going to happen. Only reason why we would lean towards some Sonic Syndicate songs during the live show is because we don’t have enough material in The Unguided yet. We will slowly bevel out any remnants of that once we establish better foot hold with the bands own songs. And if we are to play Sonic Syndicate songs it will be songs that represent and capture our current sound in a truthful way. Meaning: not My Escape.

Q: Why did you start using leather gloves? Was it because you get a better grip on the mic? Or is it because you want to (like I do) look like Sylvester Stallone and say "Hey Yo Adrian!" or something ;)
Because I watched Jared Leto use them on their 30STM gig during Download festival 2010, hehe.
